Shmoody helps you identify activities that put you in a good mood, then reminds you to do more of them.
What we love: How the app encourages us to think of simple activities that bring us joy—and work them into our day. Feeling stuck? The app’s suggested Action Plan can suggest ways to shake you out of a bad mood (like screaming into a pillow).

Quick tip: Text Helper offers pre-written messages that you can send to friends and family to let them know you’re feeling overwhelmed and need some me time.
Meet the creator: Shmoody sprang from the mental health needs of its creators, Mike McSweeney and Nate Thomas. “Both of us are long-term sober from drugs, alcohol, and mental health struggles, making the mission behind the app very personal,” says chief product officer Mike McSweeney. “Knowing we’re helping people makes all the long nights worth it.”
