Pocket Run Pool isn’t your average pub game. It takes the classic game and adds new nuance – and, let’s face it, the oh-so smooth lounge soundtrack couldn’t be better. But the most ingenious thing about it? The score multipliers on each pocket.
Sink the 12 ball, for instance, and those multipliers determine whether you earn 12 points (if you put it in the x1 pocket) or 120 points (if you landed in the x10 pocket). Because you’re chasing high scores, you want to get all 10 balls in the x10 pocket.
There’s a catch, though: after each shot, the multipliers rotate to new holes – so you may have to pull off some astounding doubles, plants and other cross-table trickery to achieve a 10x10.
You’re allowed up to three retries per game, although they’ll cost you some points. Our challenge to you: score 760 by getting 10x10 in a Standard Run game (see below). You can mess up twice and still make the score. Or, for ultimate bragging rights, go for a flawless 800.

Need a few tips? Sure!
It’s smart to restart
Unlike real-world pool, you don’t need to re-rack every time you start again. So use that New Game button liberally, even if you haven’t missed a x10 pocket yet. Have a poor angle on your next shot, or wish you’d sunk more balls on the break? New Game time!
Work that 8 ball
Because sinking the 8 ball has a unique effect (it makes multipliers rotate randomly, rather than clockwise by one hole), don’t waste it. Save it for when the usual rotation will put the x10 pocket in a hard-to-reach spot on your next turn.
Scratch strategically
When you scratch, neither the multipliers nor the balls move position. Take advantage of this. Deliberate scratches may cost you a perfect score, but they can improve your positioning, thus upping your odds of making a 10x10.
