Accessibility to fitness is difficult for lots of people because of how expensive classes and gyms can be. Hoorah for making an app with a huge fitness library that’s freeee. This is the best fitness app I’ve ever used as far as motivation and variety goes. I’ve consistently worked out every day since downloading it and have added a lot of variation to my workouts. I downloaded pro since they were having a promo. I don’t use the meal plans but do use the meals section to add recipes to my grocery list when I’m in a rut. I have a bit of feedback but I’m confident small things will continue to improve as the app develops. 1). I wish there was a search feature. Sometimes I want to type a key word in and see everything that qualifies, or want to type an ingredient in and see which recipes use it. 2). A couple of recipes are missing parts to them like the salted caramel pancakes don’t actually include the recipe or ingredients for the salted caramel (I found that part online though so, no big deal.) 3). I can’t play the meditations with my phone screen off. This is mostly an issue with the sleep mediations. Deandre’s sleep meditations are some of the best I’ve ever used but if I fall asleep during the meditation, I wake up hours later to a hot phone after the screen has been on all night :-( None of that will make me stop using the app, I can see myself using this app for a very long time.

I’m still going to rate this as a five star app because this app has helped me fall in love with working out. I’ve used it for over a year and I love the trainers and the selection. I even bought a Roku so I no longer had to stream from my phone. The Roku app is fine, but the phone app is superior. I recently changed programs and my Roku app does not acknowledge the new recommended workouts a day, but I am making due. After having such a great time, I wanted to give my money to support the app, but…gosh I feel terrible, but the paid extras are just not worth it. The meal planning is a forgotten feature where they add the same meals over and over again and they do not consider allergens. So that zucchini lasagna you keep throwing at me? I’m allergic to dairy and cheese is kind of a main ingredient for lasagna. I tried their dairy free Mac and cheese and after over an hour cooking a lunch, I had to throw the whole thing out, it was so disgusting. The other problem is they think you’ll have all this time to cook. Most of the recipes take too long and are expensive. I haven’t had any reason to use the other paid features, like downloading a work out or using their music. I don’t regret the money spent, because I think the developer and the trainers deserve it. But I won’t be renewing my subscription unless something drastically changes to tempt me.

I have never written a review for anything: apps, products, restaurants... nothing, but I had to write one for FitOn! I’m 24 with an almost 2 year old, and I have been slowly losing the weight that I gained while pregnant. I have lost 40 pounds so far and I am getting close to my target weight, so it’s getting harder to shed those last few pounds. I have used other apps, with success, but FitOn is by far the best. I love that it has trainers doing the entire workout with you, rather than just photos and little video clips showing which exercise to do next; it’s nice to have a person cheering you on and going through the workout with you in the comfort of your own home. I follow several trainers on social media platforms and they all push for followers to sign up for their online workout programs. I don’t know about you, but if I had the money to sign up for those programs, I may as well just go sign up for a gym membership....but I am strapped for money. This workout app is THE BEST. I feel incredibly motivated, and have stuck to the program that was designed for me on FitOn based on the preferences that I selected when registering for my account. They never asked for a credit card once, it really is free and it really is amazing! It also looks like there are “live workout sessions” that happen every day, so you can workout with the trainer and other people in real time, which I think is pretty motivational! Thank you FitOn for creating an app that allows so many people to get fit without spending money!
It’s fun…it’s varied

Do you “enjoy” exercising? I have since I was in my teens (now in 50s) but I have been one of “those’ where I workout for a few months then “something” (& that something is usually time!)gets in my way and I stop for a month then I get back into it. Well this app has many different time frames..you want to exercise for 6 minutes you can find something for 6 minutes! There are so many different time frames! If you want to exercise with light intensity there are exercises for light intensity (up to difficult intensity)! And there are so many different instructors! I haven’t met a “lousy” instructor yet and I have been on for about 6 months now. There are meals/meal plans. You can plug in your weight and monitor it (but of course you can do that on Apple product apps too!). And I like the music is in the background and you are focused on the instructor- loud music was not for me. The only other fitness app I have is Faithful Workouts. Drawbacks: it cost money (but so does a gym membership), you may want to buy some weights if you don’t have them already(so more money BUT you are the only one touching those weights), and YOU should know how to protect your body by doing moves correctly. I started this app going right into medium and high intensity but there isn’t much at that levels saying how to do a move correctly (some instructors do but some don’t)…so they may say how to do correct moves at the light intensity level (I am not sure of that). What’s MOST important is that you are exercising your body and mind…give yourself a TRUE 6 weeks and you WILL feel differently!
