Life as a private eye isn’t all it’s cracked up to be for the star of Duck Detective: Secret Salami. But when the simple case of a stolen lunch leads to a tangled web of crime and conspiracy, only Eugene McQuacklin can follow the (delicious) breadcrumbs. Interrogate hilarious suspects at a bus company to gather clue words, then use them to form “deducktions” that reveal identities and motives... and, eventually, the truth!
What we love: Using keen detective skills. Whether you’re snooping through computers or studying telltale looks in suspects’ eyes, connections slowly become clear – like the penguin janitor being in a secret relationship with the sheep who works in customer service. (Keep pulling on that thread and see where it leads!)
Quick tip: Pay attention to the first letter of each word in the odd note that the giraffe receptionist gets on her birthday. Seems like it contains a hidden message – one that’s kind of scary.
Meet the creator: Duck Detective: Secret Salami was hatched by Berlin–based indie studio Happy Broccoli. A member of the team used to work in a bus-company call centre – and there’s a reference in the game to the time they dealt with a passenger who tried to bring 12 pigeons onboard.
