APPS WE LOVE

Noji

A clever way to commit things to memory.

Drop the highlighter pens and scrap the skyscraping index card towers: Noji is here to supercharge your memory. If you’re revising for exams or learning something new, use the app to create detailed flash cards and access a vast library of editable decks to ensure key information becomes lasting knowledge.

What we love: Noji’s secret sauce is spaced repetition, a science-based technique designed to defeat the “curve of forgetting” by revisiting information in increasing intervals. The app decides how often you’re quizzed on each revision card based on your confidence in the answer. Rate one as “easy” and it goes to the bottom of the deck. Those you find tricky are reshown within minutes, offering reinforcement before you have a chance to forget.

Make your flash cards as simple or detailed as you need.

Quick tip: Using the app to learn a language? Tap the speaker icon for audio pronunciation of certain words. And for more expressive flash card creation, try the Noji iPad app, which supports Apple Pencil for drawing and annotation.

Meet the creator: Noji was made by a London–based team who hope the app benefits not only students, but anyone who needs to remember anything in everyday life.
