With Yazio, keeping track of what you’re eating each day is simple. Browse the app’s extensive database where you’ll find countless food items together with their nutritional values – all you have to do is pick what’s featured in your meals that day and you’ll build a picture of your overall calorie intake, along with a breakdown into carbs, fats and proteins.

While it won’t be entirely exact, as Yazio co-founder Sebastian Weber says, “Calorie counting is never 100 per cent accurate. Everybody metabolises food in a different way, and you get the hang of it relatively quickly.”
Yazio also features lots of healthy and delicious recipes that you can easily add to your calorie counter, including myriad options for those following vegan, gluten-free and keto diets.

A coach for every day

With a Yazio subscription, you’ll get access to a digital nutrition coach that will help put together a personalised meal plan that meets your goals. There are also specific weight loss courses you can try, like “Basic Health for Every Day”, which gives you a week’s worth of suggestions for balanced and tasty meals, along with tips; and you can save yourself the calorie counting, because Yazio has already done it for you.

Whether it’s a single ingredient or a complete dish, you’ll find the nutritional value in Yazio’s database.

Factor in your exercise

100 calories more, 100 calories less – if you don’t want to have to play these arithmetic games you don’t have to: record your daily exercise in Yazio and it will be added to your total calories burned.

You can enter details manually (there’s an extensive A to Z of activities in the app to choose from, or you can add a custom one), otherwise use the Health app to import them.
