The exact origins of Little Red Riding Hood are shrouded in mystery. From East Asia to Europe, variations of the tale have been told to children for centuries.

For the most part, it starts the same: Red heads out to visit her grandma, only to find a wolf waiting to devour her. Chinese versions use a tiger. In parts of Africa, the animal is a hyena or a fox.

It’s the ending where this folk tale swerves. Seventeenth-century French author Charles Perrault penned a famous version that has our girl deceived by the Big Bad Wolf, to ultimately meet her demise.

More than a century later, Germany’s the Brothers Grimm created the story as we know it today: a huntsman comes to the rescue just in time, slays the Wolf and saves everyone.

In Night of the Full Moon, Little Red Riding Hood is far from the helpless lass we’ve come to know. While she looks for her grandmother, our heroine can assume many identities, including a Nun, a Ranger, a Knight and even a Little Witch.

The game plays out in typical card game fashion: Players assemble a powerful deck to aid Red in her battles. While on her quest, she will come across all kinds of enemies, from infatuated boys and escaped convicts to witches and wolves.
