How it started
Founded by husband-and-wife team Oscar Jesionek and Xuân Nguyễn, Fonos was inspired by Xuân’s personal experience as a busy entrepreneur. In her quest to find great books she could enjoy on the move, Xuân discovered that there was a dearth of choices when it came to Vietnamese audiobooks. She decided to create her own solution to this problem, and so Fonos was born in 2020.
Fonos now offers a huge library with thousands of licensed ebooks, audiobooks and video courses in Vietnamese, many of which are exclusive to the platform. The offerings come in a staggering variety, including literary classics, business insights, historical compendiums and meditation guides.
Filling your reading list
Most Fonos audiobooks come with a free-to-listen first chapter, so you can get a sense of what’s to come before you buy.
