Will you keep laying to reach higher platforms with a stack of bombs, knock a bomb sideways to take out enemies from a distance, destroy walls to discover hidden areas or attempt multiple moves at once?

Quick tip: Don’t want to wait for a bomb’s fuse to count down? Lay two bombs, then kick one into the other to set off an early explosion – perfect for dealing with wandering foes or for when time is of the essence, as trickier puzzles require you to trigger switches and open doors at the exact right moment.

Meet the creator: Mat Annal and Heather Stancliffe founded London–based Nitrome during the heyday of web-browser gaming in 2004, as the former graphic designers sought the creative freedom of making their own games. The studio has since gone on to develop lots of games for browsers and, later, mobile, with Bomb Chicken first exploding onto screens in 2018.
