New in Apps and Games This Week

Stream YouTube on a really big screen, learn about the kidney, and tour New York City.

Make YouTube videos even bigger

Built from the ground up for spatial computing, YouTube for Apple Vision Pro lets you stream videos like never before. Use YouTube side by side with other apps in your space, or head to the Spatial tab to immerse yourself in spatialized, 180-degree, and 360-degree videos. The app’s new update lets you significantly increase the window size, so you can view content on an even bigger screen.

Watch videos in an old-school theater

Give your personal videos and YouTube playlists the cinematic treatment by viewing them in Theater. Choose from several majestic environments, like a huge multiplex theater or a dome theater (perfect for 180- and 360-degree movies). Theater now lets you download videos to play offline.

Brush up on biology

A follow-up to the education app Insight Heart, Insight Kidney melds developer Anima Res’ deep knowledge of biology with an intricate 3D model of a human kidney. Toggle filters to view different parts of the organ, and—with an Anima Res enterprise account—go deep into its various functions.

Control your computers remotely

With remote-desktop app Screens 5, access Mac, Windows, Linux, or Raspberry Pi devices from afar (or across the room), run multiple connections at once, and use Curtain Mode to hide your Mac’s display while using it. In the latest version, sharing your clipboard between your Vision Pro and remote device is enabled by default, so you can work across devices more efficiently.

Take a dazzling tour of the Big Apple

In episode 4 of Apple TV’s Elevated, you’ll soar high above New York City, marvel at iconic landmarks, and drive down its most famous streets.

Some titles may not appear due to app restrictions.
