GAMES WE LOVE

Stick ’Em Up!

Become the perfect pistolero in these strategic shoot-outs.

Sharpshooters, trappers, dynamite-hurling miners—no match for the hero of Guncho! In this white-knuckle Wild West game, guide a poncho-clad gunslinger through turn-based showdowns against waves of foes. Get the angle on enemies and earn sweet upgrades, like the ability to swap places with a baddie (so opponents nail each other instead of you). Good luck, pardner!

What we love: Eliminating good-for-nothin’ varmints in creative and chaotic ways. Like dodging a cowgirl’s lasso so she ropes in the woodcutter who was about to chop you down. Or shooting a TNT barrel so the blast knocks a shotgun-toting brute directly into the path of an assassin’s flaming arrow. Hot enough for you, hombre?

The supernatural boss in the final showdown can teleport between oil slicks. Don’t let him get too close!

Quick tip: When a foe slides into you—whether from slipping in a puddle or being knocked back by an explosion—you’ll be stunned for one turn. The same works in reverse, so make sure you’re the one doing the bashing.

Meet the creator: Guncho is the result of a collaboration between German developer Arnold Rauers, Brazilian developer Terri Vellmann, and Canadian composer and sound designer Sam Webster. Originally the gunslinger was going to travel between levels on horseback, but Vellmann came up with the charming idea of giving him a donkey instead.
