3 Ways to Get More Out of Dropbox

Tips to personalize your experience with the file‑storage app.

1. Customize the app’s home screen

Pick what you see when you open Dropbox. You can put your most important stuff at the top by shifting around sections for Recents, Shared, and Starred. Want less clutter? Remove sections you don’t want to see. Scroll to the bottom of the home screen and tap Customize to reorder the feed.

Dropbox puts files, folders, and images it thinks you’ll want quick access to at the top of your feed.

2. See AI suggestions

Dropbox’s AI predicts which files and photos you might like to revisit based on your app activity and places them on the home screen’s “Suggested for you” section. Tell the AI if it’s off the mark by tapping the three dots and selecting “Hide suggestion.”

A well-organized project folder can bring together plans, renderings, photos, and other important documents in one place.

3. Collaborate securely

When sharing documents and folders with others to collaborate and comment on, you can set a time limit for access and require a password. Just tap Share and select Modify Settings. These features require a Dropbox Professional subscription, which also expands your storage to 3 TB.
