Some adventure games move at a leisurely pace, but Minit challenges you to explore its giant world in one-minute sessions. Brilliant!
Combing every inch of Minit’s fascinating world takes hours, but once you’ve done the full tour, you can have a blast trying to beat the game as quickly as possible. (Some players have done it in under eight minutes!)
Here the game’s developers share tips for getting the best time possible on your around-the-world run.

Relish the restart
You get a full minute to complete goals in Minit, but that doesn’t mean you have to use all of it. If there’s still time left on the clock, tap that restart button to go right back to your selected house—saving you precious seconds.

Avoid aggressors
There are only a few spots in Minit where you have to engage in combat (those crummy crabs come to mind). Most of the time you can zoom right past enemies. They may really want to fight, but that’s their problem, not yours.

Don’t be afraid of the dark
The flashlight is handy for navigating the dark, but do you really need it? Skip retrieving it to save time. Instead memorize the path—or draw a map for yourself!
Perfect your steps
Every step counts on a speed run, so cut corners as closely as possible, avoid bumping into walls, and don’t miss a single hit. Also, take the shortest route around obstacles, traveling in one continuous flow from beginning to end.

Deceive the desert
When it comes time to track down the legendary Oasis Ghost in the endless desert, don’t aimlessly wander through screen after screen. Instead find a stretch of empty desert, get close to the edge, and wiggle back and forth between that screen and the next until you get what you want. As the saying goes: You don’t find the ghost—the ghost finds you.

Try the back door
Why bother with the waiting room and boring receptionist at the Evil Sword Factory? As with most locations in Minit, there are multiple entrances and exits here. The best route in: sneaking your way through the mines.
