zumpers part of verifying information for rental applications is a pain. The customer service is no help because they tell you to talk to the credit reporting agency’s and when you do talk to them everything is good on their end but somehow zumpers part doesn’t work. Then agents just keep telling you the same thing to contact someone else other than them. It’s frustrating they need to fix that part of applications. App should really have other ways we can verify our information because one doesn’t work.Also very weird to have to put bank information and how much $$ is in it. It’s really no one’s business so Zumper should really fix that part of the questionnaire.No phone Customer Service so all questions you have to email them for!!

As stated about, I want you to know this is written by a really none Zumper paid sponsored american. I have downloaded multiple apps from Zillow, Zumper, Hotpads, y’all know the rest. They all have been somewhat helpful. This is not a Zumper is a better than other apps review but a review that Zumper helped to assist me on my journey. One thing I would say would be to have the leaser state the amount of applications that have been submitted as well as the actual cost of the rental, including application fees. I Bring this up because Zumper could be a leader in ethics when it comes to renters search for their next temporary home. It’s Un-American to have 300 people submit an app on a property where the first 3 people were qualified. The market isn’t as saturated as we think, there is just an abundance of ill moraled realtors and leasers. I bring this to Zumper, because regulating the leasors allows all of the users of Zumper a better experience. Imagine a renters app where we can see the number of applicants, the potential of those who may qualify , and the cost of the application fees? It would become more transparent. Nothing worse than witnessing a potential home, actually scheduling a view and submitting an application and paying the fee only to find out there where 25 people ahead of you who already qualified, and you just wasted time , money and hope. Zumper I believe that you can help correct this market. Much appreciated for being part of my journey.

My husband and I planned to move back to New York City this summer. Because we were looking from out of town, I downloaded a couple apps to help us find an apartment, and reached out to several brokers. We had one weekend to find a place, and not a lot of time to waste. We had selected a couple listings from Zumper, and were personally reached out to by Nathan and Issac to help us find a place that met our criteria in our limited time frame. Prior to working with Issac and Nathan we went through the classic NYC apartment hunt experience that makes every New Yorker hate finding an apartment. Brokers who showed us places out of our price range, brokers who showed us places in neighborhoods we specifically didn't want to live in, and brokers who just didn't listen to our needs and jerked us around. When Issac and Nathan reached out to us directly to assist us in our hunt, we figured we would give it a shot. I was completely blown away by their level of service, knowledge of neighborhoods and ability to deliver on such short notice. Everything we looked at fit what we were looking for. They listened and they seriously delivered. We ended up finding a place the first day working together and had the rest of our weekend in the city to enjoy with friends and furniture shop before we headed back. Working with Issac and Nathan was the experience that every New Yorker hopes and dreams for when starting the dreaded apartment search. It was straight forward, no bull, customer focused service. We've been in our apartment for about a month and we love it! The building is nice and a good location. When we start looking to expand our family and need more space, we will absolutely be calling them! Thank you guys!

I did everything from filling out the financials, also paid to have an updated credit report ready for review so when I chose an apartment the owner or management company had access to it. Unbeknownst to me very apartment I was interested told me they cannot view it on Zumper. Why? Because they have to be on Zumper as well. The apartments are rented out and retrieved from another website. There’s no full disclosure telling you that some owners and management companies cannot view the credit report they had you purchase. The information is unreliable and a scam. I tried reaching out to them to help me and they receive responded very late. Also the response was not pertaining to my question at all. I tried telling them and they gave another response not pertaining to my concerns. If you want to find an apartment in a certain area or neighborhood, I suggest to drive out there or have someone drive you around and look for yourselves, you get better deals and get to see the apartments up close and not in an app taken by professionals to make them look like they’re worth more than actual price. All the renting apps are alike. Save yourself the time, money and headache. DIY!
