He game is barely six months old, so it’s still buggy as hell, and at times, inconveniently so. However, I expect this of a game so new. If this was a year from now, I’d say delete it, but I’m willing to wait out the bugs. To me, the biggest issue is game balance. One feature is to complete missions. These missions require various objectives to be completed, one of which is ship-ship battle. The poor game balance comes into play, most noticeably, in this section. For example, you ship may have 1500 power, so you expect the objective to have a similar power level. However, it turns out the objective requires a ship of 5000 power to complete. (Numbers are arbitrary) The player must, essentially, be Lv. 10 to face Lv. 5 enemies. Obviously, a case could be made that you can upgrade your ship to the proper level to begin with. But, there’s no reference point for what are expected capabilities of the players at given levels. I’m 5 levels ahead of some people who have ships half he strength of mine. And then I find players who are only 1 or 2 levels ahead of mine that are 3x more powerful. This is too great of a range to know where I’m at, or what to do. At the end of the day, it’s a new game, and things will take time to fix. There’s a vast majority of game elements, and the game can be, for all intents and purposes, played as long as a player would like. My 4-star rating is what I expect the game to be, I’m willing to deal with the bugs, and game balance until that day comes up. I encourage others to do the same.
Great Strategy Game

I’m comparing the game to other strategy games like it, so the 5 stars is relative. There are things I don’t like about it, but comparatively speaking, it’s the best mobile strategy game I’ve ever played. (I’ve spent a lot of time playing Game of War: Fire Age and West Game as well as STFC.)First, I love Star Trek, so I’m biased right out the gate. Other things I like that separate it from other games: they give enough free peace shields per day if you do all your daily tasks to stay shielded 24/7. There are limits, especially for low level players, on who can attack you. Until you get higher level, only players within 2 levels of you can attack you. You NEVER run out of stuff to do. In fact, the more you play, it can get downright overwhelming how much there is to keep you busy. That being said, there are downsides. Like other strategy games, it’s impossible to be a top player without spending. There are a lot of f2p players who enjoy the game a lot, and you can do everything, but it just takes A LOT longer. I’m one of those who spends a little, and I’m in the mid-range as far as power. Of course, there are whales who spend thousands who you’ll never be able to compete with. However, my server, and I believe most if not all servers, have player-organized/enforced Rules of Engagement that limit bullying and sheer domination by p2p players.
Potential but needs huge attention

This games has great potential but need serious fixes. For what is called a mobile game it will not work at all on any of my cellular devices. In order to play I need a WiFi connection. I can use a 2nd cellular device as a hotspot and it works but regardless of signal strength I can’t connect via cellular. game also needs some wag to share resources with friends aside from alliance donations. The missions need to be configured more for better flow. It is very common to get missions that you can’t do for weeks or even months even if you spent $1000. Many times there are glitches or login issues. Nothing like getting a notification you are getting attacked but then the login won’t authenticate or the game doesn’t like your internet connection and by the time you get logged in your base have been wiped out and all resources are gone because it took 3 hours to log in. There needs to be better instructions for missions. An example for me was when at level 22 I was given a mission to get something that you get in an I game store. All you are told is get 15 uncommon plutonium. But what you have to search out is that the item you need to buy does not even show up in the store until level 24 and unless you are a cash player the time required to go up those 2 levels is around a month so in the mean time your mission log has a worthless mission listed and that is after you find out why you can’t find the required material. So great potential but many issues need fixing !
Decent game ruined by developer’s optimization for making you pay

I downloaded this game hoping for a nice mobile version of Stellaris in the Star Trek universe and it is a decent version of that, I guess. You get to build and level up a star base and manage and level up your ships and crew. The MMO aspect isn’t terrible, although you seem to get ganked a lot if you leave your ship outside of your station when you’re not logged in.The problem is that playing it is like watching the home shopping network because you can’t do anything without having to click through a way to pay more money to reduce the pain of progression. Every resource either costs money or is in a random loot box so there is no strategy for resource management other than just keep clicking (unless you want to pay to click less). All the new content is behind battle passes and loot boxes so all you can do to meet your goals is just keep paying. When I added up all the cost in micro transactions to make this more like a decent PC game, I’d have to pay many multiple times what I’d pay for Stellaris on PC in order to make this game enjoyable. I get that the devs need to make money but I’d much prefer a monthly subscription to a decent game over the constant begging and slot machine mechanics that mobile gaming has become. If I wanted to hang out in a casino I’d go to Vegas.
The Origin Sector crisis may be over, but the temporal fractures left behind are spreading across the galaxy, threatening to reshape reality in ways even Q never anticipated.
