My Take on PowerPoint and all the other wonderful App
jem4058
I have to admit, it was a bit overwhelming when I had to figure out how to use this wonderful beast but after a few hours, I was right there creating a eye catching slide presentation. THe ability to put in multimedia increases it's value but then I could say that aabout all the other sections in PPT. The slide ideas helped quite a bit, I didn't get a chance to try the addons but they looked fun and easy to use. I loved your "incredible" learning tools, even though I had a manual I found it to be complete and helpful. I did get frustrated working with others on the multiple versions that you have come out with over the years. I asked for help and the responder asked for things that have changed recently or for another reason that I dont't necessarily understand. We managed in the end. I love the way the ribbon works for all of the Microsoft Applications. I had the most difficulty with Excel because of all the meticulus requirements that this software requires to do it's thing. I took longer than the others: Word and PPT to master but it was so worth it, now I can manage a budget, leep track of my inventory and the list goes on and on of all the applications I could use it for! It's exciting to complete these three because I want to learn Acces nexts and the files I made with Excel and Word will be used together for a whole new world of applications that I can do with this challenging and exciting learning experiance, I now find myself in the market for employment, before this I had no marketable skills. You changed my life, I am sure your rolling your eyes right now, but I am a disabled Veteran and have been unable to find a job that could use me with no skills. So, Yeah, it is a big, no huge opportunity and I want to say Good Job to all you Microsoft workers that have made all this possible. I apologize for my spainess, is that a word?
Themes
Communication & Influence
I think there is room for improvement on how Presentation-wide themes are changed and/or expiremented with.-as of now, it’s not intuitive to the average or above average user (let alone the beginner) on how we would change colors/fonts/styles across the landscape of a presentation - this should be EASY - click of a button then a second button - vs drop down menu where the result is not fully known until you exit - the risk there is that you lose what you had and don’t like itexpirementing is a plus- If there were the option of changing color themes across all slides - WHILE- Color choices should be more simple - why do we HAVE to have so many sub-choices for accents - make a base # of 5 and then you can add if you want but having to select accent colors that you know you’ll never use is not advisable
I thought MS Word was tough…
Nicholiitus
I am a slow poke, or as my mom says, “ a late bloomer “.. Having issues in solving the complex knots threaded throughout the MS Core Office tooling. But PowerPoint, barely messed with it, even through schooling. I see now that it is integral. I just wish it there was, simpler? Straight-forward? I even feel like the more I get into it the less I begin to understand~that I do not understand. I am wanting to use web data, and other analytics to create the loop for a service feedback through MS Core Office Tooling. I am a student & developer, ‘not student-developer’. I own a business, a bagel shop to be specific, and I am trying to drum up consciousness technologies. I know it all sounds a bit…. How do you say?, much! Termplates for one should be available for bulk downloads. Copilot chat should be ‘connectable’ or transferable to another office window, like, and I am only just now thinking about this as I type…. So your screen, you can dive up into 3 windows. Now would if you could hook your windows together, and have a single chat interface that bridges the two (still operating) individual chat interfaces… Y’’all hiring? haha. Thanks again.
Terrible without a tutorial for our members
Misunderstanding DKG Members
This template looks like it comes from AI generated suggestions for presenting projects in the business world -- it suggests nothing about DKG. When it says something like speak from the heart it is an attempt to link to key words that have been noted by some one without a chapter understanding and member understanding of the heart and yes, "spiritual" soul of the society.DKG is NOT defined by an outline presenting team projects like the business world is. Projects are only a facet of our philanthropic side of our mission and purpose. Sorry but I will not use this and I have been asked to plan a program about who DKG is and where we got to where we are and where we are going. Nothing on the website I have seen in templates is relevant to the chapter member who NEVER, NEVER even accesses the website -- Peopla at headquarters need to understand the strengths and weaknesses of the professional women at the chapter level who are in essence, the real peopl who hired them. (AND so disappointed that I can't scroll back up and proofread and edit what I have written -- does anyone ever pretend they are a member and try to use what is on the website????)
