Magic Window brings your desktop to life with beautiful slow moving timelapse views for your wallpaper and screen saver. The app includes 305 views of coasts, beaches, cities, mountains, lakes, and more. Watch as time and light slowly paint the skies beautiful colors and cities transform from day to night and back again.
Created by the same team that brought you Magic Window for iPad and iPhone, this is a new style of desktop wallpaper made using timelapse photography. The wallpapers slowly blend over time revealing magical changes in scenery and color. The goal is to create slow and subtle movement that does not distract from work.
The speed of the wallpaper can be changed from slowest where movement is not visible to fastest where movement is subtle and noticeable. Depending on if you prefer more static wallpaper or "live" wallpaper you can adjust this setting to conform to your tastes. Most views were filmed over hours and capture complete sky transitions.

Magic Window scenes are full 16:10 HD resolution (1920x1200) and look fantastic on most Mac models. These are truly high definition wallpapers, not stretched low resolution videos.
Magic Window includes 305 scenes: 11 are built into the app, and 294 are downloaded after you install the app. We use scene downloads so we can bring you more and more scenes without making the app larger and larger. There are no additional charges for downloads. You can install the app on as many Macs as you want and download scenes as many times as you want.
The downloadable wallpapers total 20GB in size. You can choose to download as many as you want or download all. You can also delete wallpapers and re-download them later. To download all wallpapers you will need 20GB of spare storage.
Magic Window fully supports multiple monitors, allowing you to have different scenes on each display and to selectively enable or disable displays. AirPlay can also be used to display the scenes on an Apple TV. Note that you can not stretch a single scene across multiple displays.

I just adore this app. The images are spectacular. The time lapses are mesmerizing. My husband and I often stop what we're doing to admire a given image. The developers are great the best! If I have a question, they answer within MINUTES. They give you great background info on each of their spectacular shots, and they are constantly adding to their collection of images (and thus, yours)! I run this app on my MacBook Pro, and I run the new 4K version (even more breathtaking) on my iMac! You won’t be sorry! An incredible investment. The BEST APP! Worth every penny!!! Thank you!!

I find that every scene is of the same perfect quality as all of the others. I love all of them. I am forever impressed at the amount of talent and work that went into this app compared to the incredibly low cost, it never ceases to amaze me. I often find myself lost in just watching the images in awesome admiration. I'm more than thankful that they add to the collection regularly. I'm hypnotized by the time lapses. If you (or I) have a question on ANYTHING, the developers answer quickly and until you are fully satisfied with the answer. You just can't lose.
I love this app. How about putting time and weather on Mac OS.

I frequently sit in front of my computer all day. My computer time requires great concentration. I use your app to remember all the beautiful places in the world. Your app is a brief yet potent refresher for my mind. Because of your hard work and great pictures, I can come back to my task refreshed. I would love to see the time and the weather on the Mac OS app, similar to the apps on the iPad and iphone.

SOOTHING WALPAPERSI love the wallpapers, they are very soothing (although it be nice if they added some South America, Bolivia guys, think about it).HOWEVERPERFORMANCE… I noticed the app makes a lot of disk reading, it be nice if they added the setting to load the wallpaper files into RAM, so that there is no unecessary disk reading as it could wear down some HDDs over time. I have 16 gigs of ram, and really it wouldn't be a concern to have the 100MB file on my ram.OPTIONS… Additionally it be nice if they gave us the ability to loop from start to finish then from finish to start, specially for the wallpapers that lack sun or moon, would be awesome to cycle some of the wallpapers as if they went through the complete day night day transition. Bonus points if they also made the wall paper match with the available light for the current user position on earth.OTHER THAN THATSuper recommended if you need some dynamic and chill in you background, gives me a sense of the pass of time and I love it.
