Bought the lifetime sub because I consider this to be like a physical book but that is constantly updated and I enjoy the word of the day. Did not like the yearly subscription but was a fan of the lifetime once they graciously pointed it out as an option.

Totally understand not wanting to pay for our subscription, and we respect that decision.To clarify, We charge a subscription fee to support providing features that we can update regularly, like the word of the day graphics which we illustrate, shoot and edit in-house. To keep providing the same quality of experiences, we need to be able to charge our customers a fair price. Alternatively if you don't want a subscription we also provide a one-time lifetime purchase option.

Using LookUp is like stepping into an art museum for words. Its images and typography are bright and welcoming—nobody needs a map to navigate—and I have frequented its galleries for many years now. I have curated my own collections from books I’ve read, loving some and saving others.The Notes feature has allowed me to make my own contributions. I can record where I first stumbled across each new word. Gaskell, Elliot, Wordsworth, and Keats are a few recent authors and poets that your app has helped me navigate, and they also walk its galleries.I am curious to see where the creativity and curation will go next.

Recently, I emailed application support the following, which summarizes my like for the app and my suggestion for improvement: Hello. For a long time now, I’ve been a big fan of your LookUp iOS app, which I most often use as a dictionary. I love the beautiful imagery in your app, as all the beautiful pictures in the app make your app more a pleasure to use as a dictionary, instead of just using a plain dictionary containing only words! 👍 May I make a suggestion that I think would improve the usability of your app, not just for myself but for others as well? Include links in the definitions to similar words. Let me explain: Today I looked up the word “admonition” in your app, and the noun meaning says “an act or action of admonishing”. Since I was not certain of what the word “admonish” means, I had to go back to the search bar in the app to search on the word “admonish”, to find its definition. Had there been a link to the word “admonish” in the definition section of the word “admonition”, I could have more easily tapped on such a link and been brought directly to the dictionary definition of the word “admonish”. I certainly hope this email finds you all well. Have a wonderful weekend!! Update: I received a nice response back from the developer, indicating that these links in the app I suggested are being worked on, which is great news! 👍
