I love this reading app as it allows me to customize the text I’m reading but it also allows you to recap on everything that you have read so far making it easy to remember everything in the story.
It’s good but with important caveats!

Instantly made me create an account without letting me look at what they had to offer, then prompted me to create a review without looking at what they had to offer, then paywalled me after saying that the app is FreeBooks. Has a lot of AI generated cover art not sure if the books are made with AI but the cover art is. With all that being said there are some interesting stories on here. The app is beautifully designed listening to the stories is simple and quick if you want to read they give you that option well just know that the app isn’t free. It’s paywalled. Wish they’d not lie about that but that it is a good app. Despite that all that

We’re sorry the account, review prompt, and FreeBooks+ trial flow made the app feel paywalled before you could properly explore it. FreeBooks can be used for free: you can read books online without a subscription, and listen to 3 free audiobooks each month. FreeBooks+ is only our optional upgrade for offline downloads, unlimited audiobooks, and an ad-free experience. If you reopen the app, you should now go straight into the free version. This could be a 5 star worthy app, the setup seems pretty easy and self explanatory (coming from a programmer), but I will say I was asked to leave a review before I even finished the setup… I apologize if I change my mind about the rating later and cannot change it, but either way I was asked to leave a review way too early. Then again, Apple may be in charge of that and not the owner of the app. ❤️thanks for helping me getting back into reading

This app is great for picking up and reading things- I’ve read quite a few things myself already and the experience is well-done. But the search for specific books or authors does not work at all, just showing the most “popular” books regardless of what you search, meaning it’s hard to find any particular book at all. It may have a big selection but there’s not much point if you can’t search for it.
