Great overall. Too expensive. Improves on Archero 1

A great game overall. Archero 2 improves on the first game. Many of the reasons that I quit the first game have been fixed or improved. You still end up watching ads every now and then, but far fewer than in Archero 1 or other similar games. There’s a lot of variety of content and plenty to do without having to buy energy. The game is fun, looks good, and provides many paths to progress. My one major complaint is the pricing and need to pay to 100% complete events. I would not call this a “pay to win” game necessarily, but it’s bordering one. I admit I have not spent any money on Archero 2 myself, but mainly because the prices simply aren’t worth it. You get far less value from paid purchases than in similar games in my opinion. While all gear is possible to get without paying, you collect it MUCH slower. I do not feel like I’m missing out by not buying things in the game, but definitely cannot keep up with those who do. You cannot 100% complete timed events without buying extra event currency. There are multiple separate season passes you can buy for $15+ and they only last 30 days. The $30 daily gem pack only gives you enough for 2 extra chests a day. The only purchase that seems worth the value is the $10 lifetime ad-free pack. But again, I still have made a pretty powerful character without paying any money. Overall great other than the cash grabbing.

A great game overall. Archero 2 improves on the first game. Many of the reasons that I quit the first game have been fixed or improved. Great game, needs balancing

I’ve played the original arch hero for some time now and felt I was living under a rock and just put about 20 hours into Archhero 2. This game is unique because it does feel you can progress as a free to play player and they offer endless supplies for gems, passive hunts for xp and gear, and offer quite the diversity of gameplay with different events, challenges, even interacting with other players. Where I could see improvements (this is just my experience), it feels very RNG dependent. The attack upgrades for example seem to offer the smallest of damage increases where you’ll hit a legendary roll, a 4x damage increase, and the next wave you seem to be doing maybe 50-80 more damage per hit (which is nothing). The boss scaling is brutal in my experience as well. You’ll be in the fight for a while due to damage increases not scaling and put into an almost dark souls feel where it’ll take them 2 shots to kill you but you need to survive for 3-4 minutes through the fight till you kill them making it frustrating to advance in the game. I’d love to see a balance check to make damage boosts equivalent to the spirits, they seem to out damage a primary, jeweled up weapon everytime regardless of damage buffs. This is more in-depth and after extended play. It was hard putting 3 stars as I do enjoy the game but would love to see them slow down ironically.

I’ve played the original arch hero for some time now and felt I was living under a rock and just put about 20 hours into Archhero 2. This game is unique because it does feel you can progress as a free to play player and they offer endless supplies for gems, passive hunts for xp and gear, and offer quite the diversity of gameplay with different events, challenges, even interacting with other players. When ARCHERO first started there were more ads but you got decent rewards for watching them. I don’t even know what type of game this is…it’s like 10 mini games, all with their own currency. It’s not just ARCHERO either. I’ve noticed a lot of games adding lots of tedious money consuming minigames. A battlepass in most games was about $10 and gave you lots of little bonuses. Now there’s 4 or 5 different types of “battlepasses” that all cost $10-$20 a pop.It’s like gaming companies gave up the actual game and all became gambling machines where you never accrue anything actually tangible. Some of these games are making $500k a year! It’s right in their stock prospectus. HERO WARS is a half billion dollar Russian gambling game disguised as an “rpg” where the whole goal of the game is to spend more money than everyone else so you can get the best heros, gear, spells/actions. Equipment, pets, relics, artifacts, summons, skins, and then put it all behind paywalls thousands of dollars high that you have <.oo1% chance of pulling from a chest. And you can’t actually have as much fun as the game could be, just because you can’t dump thousands into it. I dumped almost 30k into a game that totally took advantage of my addictive tendencies and showed me no loyalty or respect for it. I stopped ARCHERO when they got greedy and opened a new minigame every month for a year it seemed like
