The game plays well and sound design is great. Feels reactive when pressing the buttons and very satisfying there are a few strange bug like behaviors, such as screens not appearing when they’re supposed to or they appear after you’ve pressed a different button. It’s also frustrating to have the overlays get in the way when you’re trying to look at what you have in your zoo already but overall it’s a really great implementation of the game.

Helps with all the set-up and tracking. Much more difficult to manage on the phone versus the tablet but still playable. The tutorial is 3 parts and when finished it is still confusing but trial and error (and some painful losses against the AI) is enough to get the hang of it and starting to understand the synergies. Will see how it is at online asynchronous play once I get better.

I love the app and play a lot. Please bring in expansions and extra boards like the ones on Board Game Arena. One bug I’ve noticed is that when I am allowed to pay to play a sponsor card from my hand, as one of the bonuses for the conservation project, I am not specifically prompted to do that during the tea break and I never actually get to use that ability. Also there are times when I’m choosing a card and the board or the association area is covered up and you can’t hide the cards to check the board or the association area to make sure you’re getting a card consistent with your goals. That’s specifically on the phone which is a small screen. Thanks, great game overall.

Overall this adaption is good, but the app is still quite buggy and could use some more refinement. The version on Board Game Arena is far superior to this app should be what these developers should strive for. I report issues, but it sometimes feels like I’m a tester more than a user considering how often I run into issues.Some bugs include: score not being calculated properly, cards not leaving hand when they should, actions not redeeming when they should and also when they shouldn’t, inaccurate workers available.Some annoyances across new and old devices include: drains battery like crazy (in comparison BGA has almost no impact), freezes on new and old devices, only saves current game, no end game stats, inconsistent undo button, placing enclosures sometimes encounters issues, touch area can get stuck in different area and you cannot resume action, would rather less animation for a smoother and more easy navigable experience (it’s so difficult to check on other tables while playing)The good: still a good overall adaptation, fun challenge modes (would love more!), seems to auto save often which helps for freezes/crashes, an okay layout considering how much needs to be displayed in this game, doesn’t need internet connectivity and can play against computer opponents

This game is so complicated that it makes Magic The gathering look like child’s play. When you spend more time closing windows that obscure the play field, you know there’s a problem. How anyone could play this on the phone is beyond me, and I was using an iPad. Every time you think you understand something more details are added that look like somebody just thought them up and said oh “that sounds good.” I want my games to be fun and enjoyable not complicated and frustrating. I had to ask for a refund on this one. And I rarely ask for refunds on any of my apps. I’ve played many Dire wolf games and most of them are great. This one needs a little less minutia.

When the game doesn’t glitch, it plays OK. AI does some generally suboptimal play to just interfere with players, such as one ai opponent needlessly getting cards or sponsoring for cash, just so the next ai can force the break, especially if you are over the card limit. The real issue is random bugs. Example is situation where it let me keep cards over the limit, aaaannnd then also never let me access the cards. A two bugs for the price of one. Also, it frequently (1 x for ~3 games) won’t let you do valid actions. Especially when you get extra actions. Could I provide more specifics? No. After all, they don’t pay me to test their products and, frankly, it is easier to resign and restart or just play solo on board game arena. Shame, because the app looks pretty. And, at least, when not glitching, it plays better than just normal solo. Hopefully they will sort stuff out quickly.
