The graphics are fun, the ambient noises and music are immersive, but the gameplay pattern leaves a LOT to be desired. You designed the obstacles/tools to work based on rng luck. Why would you do that? I’m wasting my money buying tools to make sure I’m stocked up on everything, and yet the RIGHT tool is rarely available to pull from the bag during my run, so I just have to eat a hit and maybe die even though I had exactly the tool I needed to get past said obstacle. Also, why is it that I can only swipe to change the tool out ONE TIME??? If I’m headed towards a cliff, I should be given more than one chance to pull out a parachute, don’t you think? I’ve died more times to spikes and barricades because the game simply wouldn’t give me enough opportunities to swipe to the right tool. Is this done to pad the length of your game so it won’t feel too short? This is one of the laziest possible ways to do that, if so.
Developer ResponseHi there,I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing issues with the game. The randomization of the tools in the game are a part of the challenge of the gameplay, as well as the cooldown on the tool switching. You can switch tools more than once, it just takes about 20-30 seconds to cooldown. It is also completely normal to have your car breakdown while playing this game, so don't feel like because you "die" in the game that you are not progressing. A huge part of the progression in the game is completely the tasks, not necessarily just how far you get in your car. I would also recommend turning down the difficulty in the Options menu if you feel as though you are consistently crashing your car without getting very far. Hopefully this helps, thanks so much for playing!
“From what I understand from the perspective of everyone who plays this game, it’s a work of art, that fact is proven by, but for some of the later levels of the game like the firefly forest game - to the other games between the game’s narrative to the end game, there’s been a lot of glitches / bugs that have been causing everyone’s progression of the game to a sudden halt hardly, hopefully if the developers who seen this comment can see if they can squash this Bugs / Glitches whenever they do, so that way the game can be enjoyed by everyone again who never played this one before or at all”.
I’ve had this game for awhile now and it’s been very fun playing it I love the graphics, story etc. but I came across an issue that is upsetting to me and made me drop my rating to three stars instead of five. I honestly don’t know if it’s just me but after I defeated the grass lands and moved on to the waterfall area my progress stopped saving and now whenever I log back on it always starts me on the boss level of the grasslands one. Idk why this is happening but it is very upsetting I hope this bug gets fixed soon because I want to start playing again.
I know a lot of the complaints are about the randomness of the tools, but I don’t mind it so much, even if it does get a little frustrating at times. You CAN progress, just have patience. I find this game relaxing, compared to most of the games I play. It’s funny, and the sound effects are super cute. I have no trouble with game play on either my iPad Pro, or my iPhone 11, although occasionally it seems to not register my touch on the phone, but I suspect that’s an iPhone issue.Definitely not a game for people who want to win after just a few tries.
Love this game! I just feel like it’s a bit too difficult for the average casual user. Even on “Easy” difficulty, it only quickens the time to swap tools. I don’t mind having to replay levels multiple times to pass it, but because you’re always doing the same thing over and over (choosing tools), it becomes monotonous. There should be some other dynamic to this game that changes as you progress rather than just riding in a car and simply choosing tools over and over. I’ve noticed other reviews with similar thoughts too, so you should consider this a valid critique and one worth investigating!
You buy items to deal with stuff along your route. The problem you don’t choose what they are and soon you’ll run out or become unable to swap them for what you really need. If there was an endless item swap option it might actually be playable, but I spend half the game crashing and starting over. As it stands, it’s completely pointless.Makes you wonder if the game doesn’t have enough content and is hiding behind a stupid “you’re just not good enough” mechanic. I play games to enjoy them, not spend all day restarting and broken gameplay loop.
