I wish the roll out of the special events was more consistent. We check the dates for the upcoming events and look forward to them. They frequently do not arrive on time for us despite checking for updates. We still aren’t able to see the Hanami event. UPDATE: thanks for the quick response. We love the special events. Looking forward to the Easter one.

I wish I read all of the reviews first!!There was supposed to be a FREE trial period but we were charged over $85 for a subscription fee! We downloaded the app and it was really difficult to get started. We had to sign in or make an account. While trying to make a new account it asked for an email and said a verification email was sent but nothing ever showed up. We tried to go back to the start and make an account, we just typed our email and a password even though it never had us set up any information or anything we somehow finally got access to the game. We explored the app a little bit, maybe less than 30 minutes but it’s ultimately not really what we expected so we deleted the app right away, same day. The math concepts just seemed to be a little younger aged, below the level we chose and it didn’t seem to have the content we had hoped for so we will not be using it. However, I just now realized the app had already somehow charged me for a full subscription! I couldn’t find anything where I had agreed to pay for their subscription and I couldn’t find anywhere to cancel it! Still haven’t received an email but I’m working with Apple now to hopefully get a refund but watch out!! It’s an expensive mistake!!

Credentials do not store in Apple keychain making it extremely difficult to set this app up on multiple devices. Creating an account with Apple makes it near impossible to use this account on another device cause you can’t know the email credentials. Creating an account with email prevents password suggestions, won’t permit you to paste a password, and won’t let you change a password once created! If you fail to remember the password your email account is permanently prevented from creating a mew account or changing said password as you can’t login via their website. Installing on a child’s device via magic link doesn’t work cause it’s likely sent to YOUR email account which is not on the child’s device. You then have to copy the link from your email, text it or email it to your child, disable safari restrictions, allow safari website accessibility, then click the link. I literally spent 30 minutes trying to get it to work on my kids device while simultaneously locking myself out of my account cause I don’t remember the password I created. This is a terrible user experience!!!!

We did the free trial period. There’s no option for a parent override of the level. Because of issues with the app not recognizing poor handwriting (like recognizing a 6 or 9 as a 0) or my kid accidentally tapping the wrong thing without being able to correct it herself, she’s stuck on levels that are too easy for her. I like a lot of the games, particularly the balance used for division, but if I can’t adjust the level, it’s not worth the money.

The app isn't all bad - there are a lot of good little games, but there are WAY too many pauses and animations between tasks and on startup.. Very slow for adults, let alone kids. You also find yourself doing the same basic thing over and over again.There are other issues with kids clicking on the wrong thing and going back to a menu which make the slowness more frustrating.The multiculturalism is not appropriate and adds no value.

We love the app - solid math concepts and foundations in calm and creative settings are stretching kiddo’s brain all the time! And he loves it!I gave a lower rating because he loves certain games so much he’s excelling in them to the exclusion of others where there’s room to grow (common with kids on the autism spectrum).Is there a way to turn off or limit selected activities to encourage variety?Also it seems like the progress report only updates based on the asteroid tasks, not other game play. Kiddo always skips those (unless adult enforced, defeating fun aspect) so little progress is shown, despite mastery of several activities around the globe. Any plans to shift this setup?We love the holiday tasks - that format is very effective in leading kiddo to go beyond his comfort zone puzzles. <3
