I like the variety of games. I don't like the difficulty toddlers have navigating the app. You have to slide your finger across a track to switch screens, and toddlers can't easily do that. An adult has to be constantly available to help them switch games. That defeats the purpose of giving them the phone so you can get a break.

  • Fantastic app

This app is great! I just downloaded it for my 20mo daughter to use on a future plane ride and I know she will love it. I love how kid-friendly it is and how there’s no way for her to accidentally buy something or open the internet from this app. No WiFi needed, multiple games, and she will be learning at the same time. I love that you have to slide your finger across to close a game and enter the numbers that are spelled out to get to the settings! That was a great idea!! Thank you so much for making this app! I will be sharing with all of my friends.*Also if you have problems with your child hitting the home button and exiting the game on your iPhone: go to settings> accessibility> guided access> turn on. That way you can triple click the home button whatever app you’re on and it will keep them on that app! When you triple click there will be an “options” button at the bottom left (before you hit start) where you can turn different things on and off (like volume, touch, etc) so you can customize it. Touch is a good thing to turn off while they are just watching shows or movies.*

  • Perfect fun learning app for toddlers. No ads or in-app purchases!

    Ashlynhaynes96

This is our absolute favorite app team for our kids, we love their games. They are educational, and in a way that encourages the child to keep going and to keep focused on their task. The earlier ones teach hand eye coordination, colors, shapes, fruits, all kinds of stuff. It has flash cards, for starting to learn words. The older geared games have activities where the kids help Lucas find certain items, help him make food that he specifically wants. She’s learning about procedure through doing these now, she’s also now loving another coloring app, but she always comes back to Lucas and friends. We started letting her use this app on rare occasion when she was 18 months. Now she is 3 and a half, and she still loves playing it here and there. If you’re going to have your kids playing an app while you get stuff done, this is THE perfect app for it! Not only will you be getting stuff done, but you will know they are actually gaining something positive from what they’re playing. And best of all, there’s NO in-app purchases on any of their apps, and there’s even a feature in the settings to remove items from the main menu that are meant for parents or older kids. You can literally customize what games and what parts of the app are shown on the main page, so that your kids don’t ever open those sections of the app.Edit: as of today, the app is actually not working. It freezes a second after opening and will not work. When I exit the app, the sound plays in the background. It continues to play sound for five seconds after closing the app out of my background running apps. Huge bummer because it is so great but I’m glad it’s not the only app they have now, when we first downloaded it it actually was very new and only had 6 games on it, and it was their only app. They are doing really great things here and this family appreciates it, I hope this apps bug is fixed soon!

  • Sound glitch

The sounds have stopped working on the iPhone. They still work on an unupdated ipad. Need a glitch fix! We love these apps. They are on par with subscription learning apps we’ve tried. Just a few design quirks the developers could address. I wish it was easier for kids to move between individual activities. You have to hold and swipe to get out of an activity and back to the menu. At first I thought this was great because the 2 yr old couldn’t leave the actors I chose. However, the 4 yr likes to be able to choose, and I’m fine with that. Also, it would be helpful if the activities had icon/picture labels instead of just words, especially considering these apps are predominantly for pre-readers. Additionally I would love to see activities from the different apps (or all of them?) combined into one place, again so it’s easier for kids to choose. It would also be nice if there were “sessions” within the activities. They just go on and on. For those who want a babysitter for their kids, this is probably great. However, we only use electronics in short segments. I have to set a guided access timer because the game never ends. Most games have pauses or “rounds” built in.

  • Bless You Dave

My grandnephew is 5 mons 6 days today. I started him watching Lucas and Friends at 3.5 months. He loves the programming as well as I. I started teaching him as I did my children and grandchildren using resources like my public library, homemade flash cards, games, and songs, labeling items in the house, background discover etc. One day I decided to see what You Tube had to offer in programming for growing babies. Through my search Lucas and Friends I chose to click on and from that day to present I have never looked back. You programming offers a tremendous amount of value for children. I am very appreciative of what you and your team is doing. Paying it forward and encouraging others to do the same for our children. My parent raised me with the same foundation of paying it forward to help others progress forward as well.

  • Perfect App for Little Ones

    Mendoza_559

This app is absolutely fantastic and deserves every one of these five stars. The design is bright, engaging, and perfectly suited for babies and toddlers without being overwhelming. My child is immediately drawn to the colors, sounds, and simple interactions, and it keeps their attention in a positive, educational way.I especially appreciate how the app focuses on early learning through music, first words, and playful exploration. The piano and phone features are intuitive and fun, helping develop fine motor skills while reinforcing sounds and basic concepts. Everything feels thoughtfully designed with young children in mind.Another major plus is how parent-friendly it is. There are no confusing menus, and the content feels safe and age-appropriate. It’s the kind of app you can confidently hand to your child knowing they are learning while having fun. This has quickly become one of our go-to apps, whether for a short distraction or a longer play session. Highly recommended to any parent looking for a quality, engaging, and educational app for their little one.
