Cinematic Video Overviews expansion. - In addition to Ultra users, Cinematic Video Overviews are now also available to Google AI Pro subscribers and AI Expanded Workspace accounts in English. Chat Streaming and Thinking. - Now, when you Chat with NotebookLM, the response will show up instantly, streaming in so you can read along. - Additionally, when your response has larger sections or paragraphs, we have a smoother animation experience and, when you ask a more complex question that we need to “think” about, we’ll let you know!

Push Notifications When you start generating an artifact (audio overviews, video overviews, slide decks, etc) feel free to exit the app. NotebookLM will now send you a notification when the generation is complete!

Select and unselect sources within a notebook • Don’t want to use all the sources in your notebook? You can now temporarily select and unselect sources while chatting or creating an Audio Overview, so the response is only based on the sources you care about right now. Messages in chat no longer expire • Chats are now saved automatically across sessions, so you can resume chatting later without losing context. As always, your work remains private, and you can delete your chats at any time. Major quality improvements for chats • Chat in NotebookLM now has 50% better quality, a 4x larger context window, and 6x longer conversation memory — all powered by the latest Gemini models.
