Here’s the lowdown on some of the Magic tools we’re playing with, and how to get the most out of them.
Say goodbye to writer’s block
Imagine a tool that helps you write more content but with fewer mistakes, all in your personal style. That’s Magic Write! Start by tapping the magnifying glass on the bottom right corner of the editor, then select Magic Write from the dropdown menu and enter your query. For best results, make your instructions as clear and concise as possible.

What photo-bomber?
An unwelcome onlooker in your blissful holiday shot? Let Magic Eraser sort them out. Select the tool from the image editing toolbar and brush over the object you want to remove to make it disappear. It’s useful for marketing collateral, too. For instance, use it to create more space in an image for a headline or make an out-of-stock item vanish.

Add some pizazz
Is your sun-induced squint ruining an otherwise stellar shot? Add a pair of sunglasses to your photo with Magic Edit. Simply select the Magic Edit tool from the Edit image toolbar, brush over the image location and describe the item in the text box. To avoid adding a pair of ’90s wraparounds however, be specific when describing what you want, such as “small black reflective aviators”.

Design in multiple languages
If you want your designs to go global, check out the nifty Translate tool. The AI-driven feature can translate the text in your design into 75 different languages. To get started, go to Apps and choose Translate, then select the language you’d like to use. To make sure the translation is as accurate as possible, use short and simple sentences.

Lay down the perfectly timed beat
Give your videos the professional sound treatment with Beat Sync. The clever tool uses AI technology to convert beats to “snap points” that line up perfectly with the actions in your video. Drag your track to the Uploads tab (or select one from Canva’s own audio library). Next, select Beat Sync from the top menu and tap Sync Now to match your video to your tune.
