The characters’ skills form the foundation of the card-based gameplay, while rogue-like elements bring a touch of unpredictability to this 2D apocalyptic world. And whether you favour Renoa for her accurate rapid-fire attack or Mei Lin for her beautifully choreographed martial arts, the combat animations are always rendered in exquisitely realistic detail.

Our favourite moment: Being a leader is never easy, and Chaos Zero Nightmare isn't afraid to put us in the hot seat. Every time you enter and explore Chaos, your team’s cards and equipment are reverted to their initial states. And as you fight your way to the final boss, the equipment and cards you assemble will be saved for Story Battles and other simulations. While you’re at it, don’t forget to manage the team’s stress level – if you go beyond the threshold, your team may just fall apart mid-battle.

The biggest surprise: While assembling your deck, there’s a chance you’ll trigger an Epiphany effect, resulting in additional cards or card upgrades. Though the world is fraught with peril, you may occasionally be blessed with a Divine Epiphany, which bestows superior effects.
