Fixed a bug occurring with the Merlin Suggests prediction view on the main screen.

Create stories on the tablet version with one-click. While you can still create stories step-by-step, if you want to really put Merlin to work, you can now just create an instant story with one click and let Merlin do all the work. In just over about 90 seconds or so, you'll have a complete story to read out in your voice clone or choose one of the voices in the library. We've also added some stability improvements under the hood as well. Stories are still only available on the iPad. If you want to create stories on an iPhone, you can check out our other app - Fable's Adventures which is just the story-telling feature only and won't connect to your voice clone.

Some minor under-the-hood improvements to allow us to continue to make user experience enhancements going forward. There are lots of new ideas in the pipeline. Stay tuned. This update sets the stage for some exciting things to come.

Added in initial support for Spanish and French language localization of the interface. Story Builder experience improvements including making it a little bit easier to avoid the app unexpectedly timing out on audio playback of longer stories when ElevenLabs is experiencing periods of higher latency. We continue to make backend improvements and changes as well and have some even bigger ideas in the works for the future as we build out our partnership strategies. Stay tuned!

Shifted all of the AI capabilities to new engines which should provide more creative and crisper responses. Images for the stories are sharper and retrieve faster. Stories are richer in detail and complexity. Characters have more depth, and the plots have more sophistication. Build times for stories are a little bit longer, but the quality of the stories is worth the extra few seconds of wait.

Added in version checking to allow for more consistent versioning going forward.

Added in the Library tab for the stories that you create with Story Builder. All the stories that you save will now be found in the Library along with the images that were created (going forward) to review and play again. Images that were created with stories generated and saved before this version will not be available in the libary. We continue to build out new features. For the iPad version, we added in Quick Text and InterruptMe capabilities which bring you the ability to pause while typing text into the input box to quickly say something. With Quick Text, you can click on a number of pre-defined text options like "Give me just one second, please." to ask someone to wait while you complete typing your response, or with Interrupt Me, you can open a second text window to type a short message to render to text while not losing your place in the first text box. We also moved the "Start Over" button in Story Builder when waiting on the story to load to avoid inadvertently aborting the story creation process.

Merlin is multilingual now and will build stories and respond with suggestions in the primary language in which your device is configured. Merlin will respond with these suggestions regardless of your input language in Merlin mode! Predicted text will be suggested in the language entered in the text box. This version also fixes a crash issue experienced by some users when subscribing to Wingman mode.

In addition to Merlin now being multi-lingual, we've enabled sharing right from the Prior Entries entry tab. Once you've converted text to speech, click on Prior Entries, and long press on an entry to share it via iMessages, WhatsApp, email or any other valid method for iOS sharing available. Send voice memos easily and securely right from Talk to Me, Goose! with just a few clicks! You may get a request to log in again with this release as well as user sessions may expire. Just log back in again with the same credentials as you've used before.

Merlin goes multi-lingual. Yes, that's right, while the predictive text feature would previously predict in the language you used, Merlin and the Story Builder, apparently, was stubbornly stuck working in English until now. With this upgrade, Merlin should be speaking your language. In the coming weeks, we'll be working to make the rest of the app more responsive to multi-lingual users as well. Stay tuned.

This is a major upgrade for the iPad! Includes the addition of Story Builder mode. Do you have kids in your life with whom you like to create and tell fun and wild stories? Story Builder allows you to do just that. Create a character, a setting, a plot device, and Merlin together with his flock of AI-enabled literary geese will get to work crafting an engaging story for your audience appropriate for the age range that you select. Once the story is created with just a few clicks, you can read it out in your personal voice clone, or using any one of the included voices in the library. And, the richness of the voice models really comes through in story-telling. Imagine being able to cuddle with the kids and tell them stories again! That's what Story Builder is intended to do! Not only will you craft the story in just a few clicks, but Merlin also might surprise you with an illustration of your main character as well! This was a major upgrade to the iPad functionality for Talk to Me, Goose! and builds on the latest upgrade bringing streaming audio to our last major upgrade. Our geese have been hard at work! For the iPhone, you'll find Predictive Text is now live on the iPhone screen. This has been available to iPad users for a few versions now, but we brought it to the iPhone with this version. Let us know what you think. The iPhone real estate is precious, but we're doing what we can to bring more capability to the small screen where we're able.

Addressing a minor issue with message banking being experienced by certain users.

Major update includes two significant new features: 1. Streaming Audio - Audio will now begin playing much more quickly after pressing, "Say it!" This should eliminate the lag while speech is synthesized from the text you create. And, you will be able to "Pause," "Resume," and "Stop" the audio mid-stream while still being able to save the file for sharing. This will also allow you to generate longer form speech, up to 40,000 characters, or ~40 minutes of text in one shot. 2. Integrated with Message Banking - Use our website at https://talktomegoose.app to upload previously recorded, banked messages to play back in the app on demand from your Favorites. If you have previously recorded .wav or .mp3 files on your computer that you want to play back alongside speech that you generate in real time, you can now upload those files and have them stored in your Favorites for easy playback.

Addressed some latency issues and added in the ability to control settings associated with the voice you choose. You can now control the stability, similarity and style of the voices you use to dial in the voice to be more to your liking. Settings you change are stored locally on your device between sessions. Coming in June - Message Banking integration! Store previously recorded messages in your Favorites and play them back on demand.

We have added two more requested Moods for Merlin: Sassy and Sarcastic. We all want to be a little sassy from time to time, and sometimes sarcasm is the only way to get through the day. Now, Merlin can maybe help with that. Use them at your own discretion. :) We have also included a more significant update in the form of predictive text capability on the iPad version. This will provide suggested completions for text that you type in the text box for speech conversion as a way to continue to reduce the level of effort required to create text. This will periodically update suggested text based on your input in the text box which you can choose to accept or ignore. The suggested text is generated by AI and may or may not be helpful in the moment. The hope is that it will be helpful more often than not. The more that you use Talk to Me, Goose! the more Merlin will start to learn your vocabulary and style and will adapt to provide more relevant suggestions for you.
