We’ve rebuilt the map from the ground up to be faster and easier to use, including a top request from our community: places now have different icons for eating, drinking or getting coffee! Plus, we’ve added place names on the map, so you can see places faster.

We've added a new feature to help you get recommendations from friends or followers: “ask for recommendations”. Generate a web link you can send to anyone – even people not on Jacapo — and they can input their places directly into a collection which appears on your map. Fixed a bunch of bugs during onboarding.

Welcome to a revamped map! The map was one of the first screens we built and as a result it was in need of some TLC. The new panel is now faster and easier to use.

See the latest places people are adding to their collections from the new activity screen on your profile. Keep your finger on the pulse by enabling notifications. And don’t worry — we’re notifying responsibly. Fixes an issue where tapping on a notification doesn't open to the activity screen.

Share your top tips for others: now you can tell others what’s great about a place, in the form of a short note (max 80 characters). Share a tip about your favourite dish, top cocktail or something stand-out. You can flick through the list of tips to see what others are saying - look for the blue ring around a person’s photo.

We’ve been busy. Now for some places you can easily see the menu with the tap of a button. Swipe left and right to see additional photos of thousands of places. A redesigned Discover section, with new experts and publications to explore every week. Search has been improved. And a few other minor tweaks and bug fixes. Enjoy!

You can now… Save/follow other people’s collections Do you like the look of someone’s collection and you want to save it, as if it were your own? Well now you can. Let others do all the hard work! Hit the “Save” button on a collection and now it will appear in your private list of collections. As new places are added, you will automatically stay updated. Or maybe you’re the trend-setter… in which case, get sharing this collections! The world needs you. And we thank you.

This latest version of the app has the following updates: - You can now share great places, user profiles, and collections with your friends outside of Jacapo. - We tweaked how the map looks, let us know what you think! - We also made it clearer why you won’t always get a search result on the map. - Aaaaand we fixed a copy/paste issue with the Invite Code, so you can keep inviting your foodie friends to Jacapo to see their recommendations.

You can now make Private Collections, so you can plan a trip or draft a list in private before deciding to make it visible to your followers. - We have updated the map to show both the Favourites and all Collections from people you follow. But don’t worry, the Must Try list is still hidden from the map; after all you can’t recommend eating somewhere that you haven’t been to yet. Are you enjoying Jacapo?
