It’ll teach you the most frequently used words in context with spaced repetition, which is what you need and how you need it, for the vocabulary part of your language learning.Pros: It works! Do 50 cards/day and you’ll really feel the progress. The statistics are great You can tap words to have them read out Japanese was added just when I needed it Grammar tablesCons:The audio session is not handled correctly on iOS, so the mic stops working when you switch over from another app that uses it (like the native Translate app), requiring a forced restart of Lingvist The contextual words can’t be selected, so you can’t copy or look them up Overall the best app I’ve tried for vocabulary. I hope work is being done to integrate AI. Limitless possibilities.P.S.Thank you for bringing the flags back! They look better, make it way easier to navigate and were never a real problem.

Right hammer on the wrong nail

I absolutely love the way you learn words in Lingvist, it’s very simple and far more effective than any other method I’ve tried. However, I think the method is used on the wrong words. We don’t need to know long and rare business words. I would get so much more use out of this app if you simply taught me the most used words, since that makes up the huge majority of language. I would be happy to pay extra just to get that as a course. Sincerely hope this becomes a feature in the future.

On the app you have the option to learn the General Language course (which is the one that has the most used words) and the course focuses (vocabulary for specific topics such as business). But also with Course Wizard you can create your own course about the topic you are most interested in. Give it a try and let us know how it goes! 😊
