However, his life takes a dramatic turn after the catastrophic Saudi stock market crash of February 2006, leaving his future in doubt.

Hammoud Wa Abou

This 10-episode fast-paced series delves into many societal issues and problems, yet has a light-hearted spirit. It centres on the amusing relationship between Hamoud, a kind and spontaneous young man, and his strict father who strives to correct and guide his son’s actions, leading to a series of comedic and very relatable moments. Suitable for all family members, it stars a talented cast of Gulf actors, including Aixa Kay and Saeed Alqathani.

Ommi

Amidst struggles and hardships, hope for a better future persists. This social drama delves into the complexities of motherhood and domestic violence. The story centres around Basma (Taraf Alobidy), a young girl living a harsh life. Her teacher, Marim (Al Anood Saud), uncovers the details of the violence and suffering Basma is enduring and embarks on a mission to save her. Inspired by the 2016 Turkish drama Anne, the Saudi adaptation sheds light on the hardships of childhood and the pivotal role of teachers in offering hope.

Thanawiyat Al Nassim

A teacher named Abdullah is appointed to a high school in the Al Naseem neighbourhood in Riyadh to implement the most advanced educational methods. It’s far from straightforward as Abdullah faces a troublesome student called Mishaal who vows to drive the new teacher out before the end of the school year. The attempt to reform the school’s students and change their behaviour for the better becomes a near impossible mission.
