I’m here to speak as a little player for one year, C2P. The problem isn’t absolutely with the top players. You said they are the top ones which means the minority of the players. I can say SG are very careless about the players and just want money. I agree that there should be variety between players and ofc it is good that everyone doesn’t always get everything they want. But c’mon! Spending money to get only duplicates? Or to get something that’s too bad. They went over a fast meta and destroyed the tank variety by adding Telluria being average. Then, no significant rebalances that could get along with Telluria/vela/GM meta. No bad luck protection. In many other games, to a certain number of summons, there will be a guaranteed 5* hero, no matter what you will get, but in the end your money isn’t a waste and regrets. When the game take the common route of fast playing by tell and vela and the strategy of being on boring 50/50 chance to win either to charge quickly with good board to take the opponent off or you lose, then it becomes so annoying and more boring especially with introducing new heroes that are totally in different playing direction. Again for a player like who barely catch 5* and out of mats, hero Academy is an impossible too far hope. It is like only accessible for top players, who already got almost as you said every hero in the game. So what I’m getting if I spend a lot? Most probably a 5* trash that I will be told to enjoy by the community while 90% of raiding rerolls are Telluria teams!
