Cowboys, corruption and compelling love stories: Yellowstone’s got it all. The series follows the Duttons, a powerful and well-respected family who own a sprawling cattle ranch in Montana – and spend their lives defending it from anyone who dares to threaten it.
Quick take: Patriarch John Dutton (Kevin Costner) will resort to anything (yes, anything) to protect the land he inherited from his ancestors and preserve the ranching tradition around which the family business revolves. Trouble abounds in the form of tourist developments, political interests and family quarrels, and all at a lightning-fast pace.
Don’t miss: Due to its enormous popularity, Yellowstone spawned two prequels: 1883 and 1923. The series delve into the origins of the Dutton empire and include performances by actors Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford and country music stars Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. Both are available on Paramount+.
Where to find it: The first four seasons of Yellowstone, along with the first part of the fifth and final season, are available to watch now on Paramount+.
