Suggestion for JW Library: Cloud-Based Backup and Sync

Dear Brothers,First of all, I would like to thank you for all the efforts you have made to make the JW Library app accessible. I would like to suggest something that I believe could make the JW Library even better.Regarding the backup feature, instead of creating or downloading backup files, could you consider creating a cloud-based system? This way, when we log in to our account on another device, all of our notes, as well as the special materials we have prepared during personal study, will automatically sync and appear the same across all devices, similar to how Google Drive works.There was a time when I accidentally selected a backup file that was not updated. I downloaded it, and unfortunately, some of my notes and special study content were lost because it was not the latest version. This is why a cloud-based system would be very helpful. With cloud syncing, the data would always be up to date—just like with Google Drive—so all we would need to do is refresh, and everything would be consistent across devices.This would ensure that all of our studies, notes, and personal study materials are merged and accessible on any device. We would just need to create one account to use across all devices.I hope my suggestion is clear. Thank you so much for your time in reading this.

Hello Brothers,I deeply appreciate the hard work and loving care that goes into JW Library—it’s a vital tool in our ministry and personal study. I’d like to share a suggestion that could make it even more helpful for publishers worldwide.When we change devices or reinstall the app, we currently need to manually search for and download publications, videos, and music again. This can be time-consuming, especially when we’ve previously downloaded a large number of items for offline use.Would it be possible to add a feature that:1.Backs up the list of downloaded items (titles, formats, dates) to a backup file, without storing the actual files.2.Restores the list on a new device, allowing us to re-download everything with a single click or by selecting preferred items.This would:•Save time when changing devices.•Reduce the chance of forgetting important publications.•Keep offline libraries consistent across multiple devices.It would only require storing a small amount of metadata, so it should have minimal impact on storage or bandwidth.Thank you for considering this suggestion, and for all you do to support our worship and ministry.

I’m very grateful for the JW Library app. It has helped me so much in my personal study, meetings, and ministry. I especially want to thank Jehovah for providing such a useful and well-organized tool that helps us stay close to Him every day. The app is simple, clean, and very easy to use.One suggestion I hope can be considered is improving the Personal Study/Notes feature. While it’s helpful for taking notes, it can sometimes be difficult to locate or organize them later. When preparing talks or reviewing material, I often find myself relying on other note-taking apps because of the current limitations.It would be amazing if the notes feature could be enhanced to work more like modern note-taking apps—such as allowing more flexible highlighting, inserting images, adding drawings or handwritten notes, and offering better formatting options. Features like folders or tags, easier navigation, and smoother syncing across devices would also make a big difference.Overall, this app is excellent, and I’m truly thankful for it. These improvements would make personal study even more meaningful and efficient.

Dear Brothers, First of all, thank you all for your hard work and sacrifices. We thank Jehovah for using you all in providing us all the spiritual foods we need through this application. I am forever grateful for this wonderful application. Again, thank you!❣️ In this matter, I hope that all features of the JW library app will be available on Iphone 14Pro too. I am currently having issues in using it in landscape mode. Usually, with my previous iphone or ipad, when I flip my phone to landscape, all the Bible text and notes will appear on the right side screen of jw app, but it is not working in Iphone 14. The landscape mode is the same when I use the phone in portrait. I hope this will be fix too. Thank you very much!
