Train your brain the fun way with Peak. The brain challenge app uses more than 40 games to target specific skills – so you can concentrate on specific areas such as your memory, your attention span or your problem-solving skills.
What we love: Peak is more competitive than many brain-training apps. There are dozens of different awards to win, and Peak tells us what we need to do. For example, we might need to reach a particular high score in different games that refine language, mental agility or coordination skills, or complete a training or gaming streak. We’ve been trying to prove our Pin Sharp focus by playing 10 games that tune our attention, completing a Coffee Break workout for a morning brain boost and attempting to best each other’s scores to earn the Competitor badge.

Quick tip: Tap Stats to see your Peak Brain Score, a constantly updated measure of how well you’re doing in the games you’re playing. It doesn’t just show your current score; you can track your PBS over time and see how it compares with the average user in your age group.
Meet the creator: Peak was co-created by Itamar Lesuisse, who studied computer science before turning his talents to making innovative mobile apps. He wanted Peak to bring together fun games and proven neurological and psychiatric tools – so he brought in Barbara Sahakian, professor of clinical neuropsychology at the University of Cambridge and co-inventor of the groundbreaking CANTAB neuropsychological tests, as Peak’s scientific advisor.
