ViX+, the new premium subscription for Spanish-language streaming platform ViX, has launched in the US and Latin America.
A ViX+ subscription opens up access to original series and films – with over 65 productions scheduled for its first year, expect new releases every week. All of this is, of course, in addition to the endless entertainment, sports and news that ViX already offers for free.
Here’s a quick rundown of the unmissable perks of ViX+.
Original films
ViX+’s initial line-up is impressive. Available now is Mirreyes vs Godinez 2, the sequel to the hit Mexican film. Later releases will include Enfermo Amor, which portrays the complexity of human relationships through the stories of nine couples; Presencias, a suspenseful horror that marks Roma star Yalitza Aparicio’s return to the big screen; and Quiero Tu Vida, a great mix of football, romance and fantasy, produced by Salma Hayek and starring Erick Elías and Zuria Vega.
And expect more must-see new releases in the coming weeks.
Original series
Airing weekly, María Félix is a beautiful portrayal of the extraordinary life of the Mexican cinema legend; three different actors, Sandra Echeverría, Ximena Romo and Abril Vergara, will play Félix at different stages of her life.
And don’t miss La mujer del diablo. In this tense drama starring Carolina Miranda and José Ron, dreams and love clash with obsession and evil.
ViX+ channels
A ViX+ subscription offers something few can: TV that’s usually only available through cable or satellite services. The catalogue of channels includes broadcasts from the very musical Telehit, the movie-powered Golden, the comedy-packed Distrito Comedia and the geeky BitMe, among many others.
Lots more on the way
This is just the beginning: TelevisaUnivision has been announcing new productions that will soon reach the screens of ViX+ subscribers, such as the adaptation of Travesuras de la niña mala, a novel by Mario Vargas Llosa, as well as the upcoming release of the young adult thriller series Marea alta.
