(This review is about the App itself and not programme scheduling on the App which is not the development team’s responsibility)I’m very happy with my first year on this App. I use it on an Iphone8 and the service is excellent. As with all apps strength of signal plays a role but I am happy using the app in remote locations with 2 bars.The App on my Samsung TV provides an excellent experience. It’s easy to navigate and well set up with obvious choice selections. I don’t have normal Sky but presume the options are better on the App and faster to respond. I’ve watched sports events on the phone while at the event for commentary and better angles of replays and the lag is minimal.It could do with a mirror feature to send the picture to a computer monitor.

I’m disappointed with the support I received regarding my concerns about recent changes to Sky Sport Now. As a long-time user who purchased an annual pass for $500, I expected a higher level of service. I subscribed to watch EPL content, and the recent reduction of TV guide replays from 24 hours to just 6 hours has severely impacted my experience. This means I can no longer access full match replays with essential pre-game, half-time, and post-game analysis—key parts of the football experience.Additionally, shows like Goal Rush that air late at night are no longer available to watch by morning. For example, this week’s Goal Rush aired at 2 AM, and by 9 AM, it was no longer accessible. This reduction has significantly devalued the service, and I had previously submitted this feedback as a review, only to have it removed without explanation.I would appreciate a more customer-focused approach that takes our feedback into account and addresses these issues thoughtfully. It would be beneficial if Sky Sport Now could recognise the impact of these changes on subscribers who signed up specifically for EPL content. I hope the company reconsiders this decision to restore the full experience that many of us initially purchased.

Updated review: The newly 'updated' version (08/22) of this app is not fit for purpose. Previously worked fine on my latest-model Samsung smart TV, but now will not launch 90% of the time. When I then try alternatively to cast from my iPad, it will now no longer connect via Apple Play (which it did previously without a problem) - and when it does rarely connect, it reverts from the on-demand programme to whatever is on live coverage at the time. The functionality of the app itself also is diminished, e.g. the 'search' function no longer shows upcoming programmes but only highlights of past events. How can one then find and plan to watch future programmes? This is a poorly devised and, it seems, prematurely released update. My annual pass is due to renew in one month but if these issues are not sorted out soon, then I am likely to cancel.Previous review: The content delivered by this app is, on the face of it, excellent — all Sky Sports channels, ESPN, etc. without the faff of having to subscribe to a bunch of unwanted Sky programming. However, the app itself delivers a poor experience. It is badly organised, cluttered, and confusing to navigate. It also invariably drops the connection at least once when casting to a TV, for no discernible reason (internet connection is solid, no other apps affected). This means having to reload what was being watched, finding the spot where casting terminated, and loss of visual quality. Not something one encounters with, say, the Netflix app. It’s also frustrating that ‘catchup’ is limited to 24-hours after broadcast/replay, which basically defeats the purpose of an ‘on-demand’ streaming service. A shame that Sky can’t be more creative and reliable with this app and service, which otherwise fills a real need.

I have contacted Sky Sport Now “support” in excess of 10 times now about the quality of the live NRL feed I am receiving on my 4K Apple TV on ethernet connection with above 250MBS. My issue is mainly with Sky Sport Now Channel 4 and the NRL quality decreasing and becoming really pixelated most times I watch the coverage. Live rugby on Sky Sport Now Channel 1 normally works fine, so it is clearly a supply/provider issue that they know exists but refuse to admit. I have no issues what so ever with any of my other streaming services. I have been told the same “solution” or attempted fixes several times, despite me including extensive information in my emails, evening including videos of the problem. This shows they don’t even read the content of my emails. A recent reply said they are working on the problem and will come back to me. After nearly a month I contacted them to ask for an update, only to be told my matter had be closed and wasn’t being looked it. They asked me to explain the problem again and stated they can’t/don’t have access to previous email chain!! I feel like I am just getting fobbed off over and over, yet they keep offering this sub-quality service and charging customers full subscription fees. I asked them if anyone else was having the same issues as me with the quality of picture for live NRL. After ignoring the question for several emails, eventually they came back and said they aren’t aware of anyone else experiencing this problem. After reading the reviews here, that response is a blatant lie! This is actually horrific service, showing zero accountability or any sort of care for your customers. Sort it out or remove the service until you can offer what you say you can with Sky Sport Now! Beyond frustrated and annoyed now.
