WeezPeer is an app designed to combine the tourist experiences between people who visit a region and those who, living there, wish to capture, share and commercialise their knowledge and expertise of the territory, emphasising local excellence. Users of the app can browse, book, browse through itineraries and participate in events specially designed by local tour operators with the aim of highlighting the often overlooked and non-mainstream tourist resources of the area where they live.
Enjoying the trip is more important than reaching the destination, this is the vision of WeezPeer. Allowing people to savour what a region can offer of precious, authentic and indigenous is the purpose of WeezPeer.
The app presents these tourist experiences as a set of catalogues published by operators who usually address the communities to which they belong.
Communities are usually those built around the members' preferred mode of travel: bicycle, bicycle, scooter, walking, horseback riding, as well as interests in art, history, religion, nature, urban planning and the like.
Users can also select proposed itineraries and events based on the distance from their current location and their favourite community tag.
Optional stops and special additional activities, suggested by the tour operator, can also be proposed during the booking phase and throughout the trip to enrich the user's tourist experience. The use of QR code-based coupons to take advantage of activities is also supported.
Event registration is also supported by specific features aimed at collecting identity documents and driver's licenses wherever required, as well as club, group or community memberships.
Once booked, the user is guided to reach the starting point and between the stages of the journey through a complete navigator that, in addition to the directions, goes through the itinerary automatically whispering the details of the attractions with an audio guide guided by artificial intelligence and voice messages prepared by the tour operator.
The stops can also be associated with special activities such as territory quizzes, travel equipment surveys, treasure hunts and so on, which are enabled by the exclusive features of the navigator.
The results and memories of the trip can also be shared on the social network preferred by the user.
Finally, WeezPeer defines a new way in which users can experience tourist activities, allowing local operators to propose extraordinary experiences based on their own knowledge of the territory.
