Things are coming to life with the help from Unreal Engine, making the environment even richer and more interactive. I Spent a lot of time preparing and tweaking the environment so that it looks beautiful as well as not too heavy, especially on mobile devices. There is a lot of Camera work done in this revision which makes the experience a bit more immersive as well. The star of the show however is the integration of Unreal Engine AI Characters which are now alive within the environment. Not only are they alive but also they now interact with your sailing experience. Try getting close to an island or area and just wait a bit as the behavior is completely different every time. Some great visuals were added like Bloom, which provide that extra kick in realism but do take their toll on weaker devices so check if it works on yours and if not you can always disable it in the settings. It wasn't easy getting here and being able to have the equipment to rebuild our beloved Sailing Simulator with new... essentially everything. Main additions: * SailSim was rebuilt with Unreal Engine 5.5.4 * Vessel Buoyancy characteristics improved * Updates were made to the Saved/Restored Game Data * Updates were made to general Stability * Updates were made for Cross-Play * Updates were made for Graphics * Fixes in many places, large and small IMPORTANT! Starting from version 5.60 SailSim is built with Unreal Engine 5.5.4. Due to the extensive alterations, once you update the simulator you may loose your saved data (temporarily) Make sure your data and stats are up to date and are backed up through Game Center before updating. BACK UP everything through version 5.59 or older before proceeding to the update so your data is stored somewhere else besides your device. If you can transfer your progress to a different device through SailSim, do it. The more places you have it saved the better.
