Spaces have finally reached their second iteration, which includes - A space filter in your room list that can be used alongside existing filters. - Adding, remove or create rooms in a space that you can manage - A space settings screen to tweak and change permissions, informations, or access of a space you can manage. - Creating a space. And that's not all... we also included some small UI refactors to align the app with Liquid Glass, alongside the usual bug fixes and stability improvements.

Good news everyone! A brand new year has just started, and alongside it, Element Pro is introducing brand new features and improvements: - Storage optimisation: The app will now run some background tasks after the update to optimise its storage use, so that the app will always be fast, and its caching size small. - Translation action: is now possible to translate a message, by opening up the action menu and selecting the option. This will use iOS automatic translation. - Permission settings UI is now responsive to the current user role and power level, allowing the user to only change the permissions that they are allowed to, and select only roles that equal or lower than theirs. - The process for creating a room has been streamlined, and its UI has been updated. - A lot of bug fixes and improvements to the overall UX and stability of the app.

As we head into the final month of 2025 we’re wrapping up the year with one last release of Element Pro. Installing version 25.12 will net you the following changes: • You can now see when messages are still sending (or failed to send) from your Chats list. • Edited messages are properly reflected in the Chats list. No more worrying about that embarrassing typo! • Offline detection is now lightning fast and doesn’t leave you in limbo wondering what’s going on. • Read receipts no longer disappear when somebody changes their name. • The app now requires iOS 18 or above. The latest version of Element Pro brings improvements to the Media and Files screen, a fix for a bug that caused excessive disk usage and improvements to the offline indicator.

September is upon us, the seasons are changing and it’s time for the next release of Element Pro. This release includes highly requested improvements to media sharing, so tap that download button and enjoy all of the new goodies we’ve added. • You can now send multiple photos/videos/files at the same time. You’re welcome! • Sharing files to Element Pro should work for just about any type of file you can imagine. • We've improved the video quality when recording a video directly within the app. There’s also a healthy list of bug fixes covering external call links, proxy detection and the layout of the home screen amongst others.

**Follow-up release time!** Hot on the heels of the previous update which brought support for the latest chat room version, this release includes a couple of useful bug fixes: • You should no longer see an error when following a link to the latest version of a room on small servers. • The alert shown when you attempt to send a file larger than your server can accept is now displayed properly. • We removed a couple of glitches when opening notifications or room links within the timeline.

Good news everyone! This version includes full support for v12 rooms! So when your rooms are upgraded, don’t worry, everything will still work as intended.
In v12 rooms: • Admins are not allowed to upgrade the room anymore. • The room’s creator will now be marked as the "Owner”, a new role that has the usual Admin rights and can also upgrade a room. • When there is only one owner left in a room (and the room isn’t empty), that owner will be prompted to choose a new owner before leaving.

June has arrived, the sun is shining and if you listen carefully you can hear Element Pro chirping in a tree. Version 25.06 brings the following changes: • The ability to configure calls to use the Earpiece for audio instead of the Speaker. • Syncing of your Media Previews and Invite Avatars visibility settings across all Element clients. • Upgraded rooms now link to each other so you can easily read messages from older versions. • The bug where a room might show up multiple times in your room list has been fixed. • It is quicker to interact with Invites from the Chats list.

A new version of Element Pro is out, which brings some bug fixes, and quality of life improvements like: - Tapping on the username in the timeline, will show a bottom sheet to allow admins to swiftly take actions on that user (like kicking or banning). - Timeline events won't be grouped if they happened more than 5 minutes apart. - Fixed a bug that made accepted DMs sometimes appear as group rooms. - Homeserver admins can streamline the onboarding flow with the use of account provisioning deeplinks.
