Many things can go wrong in a relationship, but many people wait quite a while before they seek help. Suppose you find yourselves unhappy, fighting about little things over and over, avoiding conversations altogether, or drifting apart. When these things happen, couples relationship education is the right place to start a journey to reconnection. None of us gets a good relationship education, so we all have things to learn. Each person in the relationship must understand their part in the struggles and determine if they are ready to do what’s necessary to make those connections possible. I begin with the premise that the only person you can change is yourself and that if you change, the system you are in will change as well. Personally, it isn’t easy work, but the alternative is to give up on your hopes and dreams altogether. Better relationships are possible when you have a roadmap and know how to do the maintenance necessary to preserve your progress.
