What's New in Version 1.7 This update introduces two major features: text-to-speech narration using a variety of TTS engines, and audiobook creation in MP3 format with background playback support. 1. Text-to-speech narration: 5 TTS engines to choose from — Apple (offline), Sherpa (offline), OpenAI, Yandex, Microsoft Edge. API keys for OpenAI and Yandex are entered in the settings and stored securely in the Keychain. Note: Apple TTS does not support audiobook export. 2. The currently narrated sentence is highlighted with a yellow background 3. Playback controls available from the lock screen and headphones 4. Audiobook creation from standard e-book files: export individual chapters or the entire book to MP3. Files are saved locally on the device; sharing is not supported. 5.
