FOR WHOM is Pondus®? For people who wishes to gain further insight into the weight bearing and balance over time. The Pondus® allows for angle measurement of the foot in the footplate. The Pondus® is compatible with R82 standing devices. Furthermore, the Pondus® can: • Quick and easy position of Pondus® in the sandals. • Fast and easy setup between the App and Pondus® plates. • Create reports in pdf and csv file format and share it. HOW does Pondus® work? The Pondus® measures the forces going down the Pondus® plate and samples multiple times each second to detect small changes in weight bearing. The data is rendered as a chart allowing the user to see the changes over time. The angle HOW does Pondus® help me? The Pondus® can be used as guidance to ensure the desired force being applied on the Pondus® plate by changing the amount of support provided to the user by the standing frame to obtain a certain degree of weightbearing through the lower extremities or distribution of weightbearing between the legs. Instrumented standing frames have been used in experimental settings and have documented a large variation in percentage of body weight from 23-133%, which could indicate misuse and/or measurement error.
