This app uses the APl of thispersondoesnotexist.com, which is a web page that generates images of non- existing persons, using artificial intelligence (Al). It was created by Phillip Wang, and internally uses the StyleGAN algorithm, developed by Nvidia. GAN stands for Generative Adversarial Network, which is a machine learning technique.
