Periop Pacemaker Pro is a smartphone app that assists medical professionals who take care of surgical patients that have implantable defibrillators or pacemakers. The app is based on the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) Perioperative Cardiac Implantable Electronic Device (CIED) Management Aid. Additionally, this version contains the Supplemental Resource on Radiological CIED Identifiers, which is a document that was concurrently developed by the ASA and the Heart Rhythm Society (HRS). As device technology evolves, an expert committee of anesthesiologists, cardiologists, and device representatives will meet as needed to keep information up-to-date.
