EF Hello is beautifully designed - as a designer myself I conclude - visually, this is my favourite language learning app I've used - remarkably sophisticated and eye-catching design with a personal touch all throughout the app.A prominent problem is the pay wall. The app is, unfortunately, basically useless if you won't go on a subscription plan. Comparing to Duolingo, where you can at least learn for 5-10 minutes a day, and Busuu where you can learn infinitely by watching an ad before the lesson, EF Hello only allows one small task (1-2 minutes) every 10 hours and only the first couple of levels are free, when you finish them, you either need to join the plan or delete the app.I truly hope that as this app gains a wider user base, the developers will find a way to grant free users a better experience.
