With the changes to lifestyles and daily routines caused by the pandemic, more women than ever are looking for practical ways to work out at home.
Kayla Itsines, the famed personal trainer behind Sweat’s BBG (Bikini Body Guide) programme and mum to baby girl Arna, was one such woman.
“It can be daunting not having access to a gym and having to work out at home without equipment whilst trying to juggle the pressures of living and working,” says Itsines.
When she saw that this challenge was also felt by her legions of followers around the world, she decided to help.
“I created BBG Zero Equipment to help make working out at home as simple as possible by removing the need for equipment and giving women the tools and confidence to work out effectively using their bodyweight,” explains Itsines

The new BBG Zero Equipment programme in the Sweat app delivers an easy-to-follow, streamlined workout plan that’s perfect for a busy, work-from-home lifestyle.
Made up of high-intensity bodyweight workouts, all of which can be performed in a small space like a bedroom or kitchen with no equipment, the exercises are designed to improve fitness, functional movement, core stability and strength.
The 16-week plan includes four beginner weeks to help ease you back into regular fitness. Consisting of 28-minute circuit-based resistance workouts (the Full Body Bootcamp, Full Body Circuit, Full Body Chair and Arms and Abs) and 12- to 15-minute express workouts (Express Abs and Express Legs), each session is thoughtfully designed to create maximum benefit in those precious minutes.

Every week, the app presents your suggested goals in a weekly planner – a combination of three resistance and express workouts, three LISS cardio sessions (low-intensity, steady-state exercise, like a brisk walk, a swim or a jog) and two recovery sessions – as well as a rest day and a stretch session (guided upper, lower and full body recovery stretch sessions are included in the programme).
With the featured workouts catering to all fitness levels and designed to be completed in a small space, no bigger than your yoga mat, the BBG Zero Equipment plan enables women everywhere to get fit, whatever their lifestyle.
