Horrible Customer Service

I’ve been using Uber for around 3 years in Lebanon. However, recently I’ve noticed some changes in the drivers, they no longer seem comfortable with the navigation system of Beirut and they don’t seem like they know much about traffic and the different routes to be taken. Recently I’ve had a very bad experience with one of the drivers. I was taking my usual Uber ride I take every morning. It usually is a 15 minute car ride but the Uber driver neglected my request of taking the route I suggested and ended up taking me on a route he believed was better.I was an hour late to a very important class I had. The ride which usually takes me 15 minutes took 50 minutes. And after I reached out to the customer service the refunded me with the extra charge which was 1.65$ as if it is going to matter. Won’t be taking any Uber anymore. Horrible customer service, Horrible drivers.

U have two issues that made u lose 2 out five stars according to my opinion and personal experience. The first one is that the cars coming are not always suitable, several times cars below the average arrive for uber x; oh and please don’t tell me to order uber black cause I already know that. Oh and by the way not all cars u have for black are really worth it, but let’s skip that.The second point is your time accuracy from the app and from the drivers’ side. How am I supposed to wait for the changes on the map and variation of time while waiting for a driver who doesn’t know how to come from the right way, and he’s not willing to stay longer than 3 mins and has the right to cancel l the order on my behalf (like today)?!!!! I mean really..are u serious?!!! Sometime orders for selected places (like AUH for example) may have two options for to pick me up, either from the uper street « cairo » or the lower geffinor; which means i have to walk for 2mins from the middle and shut my mouth without any claim..but as a company give the right for the driver to say he arrived on the app even before arriving and letting him cancel my trip after 3 mins and paid from my own balance on the next trip!!!...I think time has come to try other apps than urs, cause today was my third disappointment. Thank you

I took uber yesterday night, i mentioned my location at the main entrance of the hotel. So for my bad luck a car blocked the road leading to the entrance, so the driver went back and parked at the backside of the hotel. He sent me a msg telling that he is waiting on the other side of the hotel. We thought we had to cross the road. So we did , and this took us 5 min walk because there’s a river facing the hotel so we had to walk in U shape. Once we arrived there w me found there’s no driver so we called him again and he clarified exactly his location, we asked him to join us but requested to meet him at the backside of hotel. So we had to rewalk again to the hotel ( miscommunication happened because of his lack in english, he used the term other side of the hotel instead of backside). At the end we were charged 16 euros instead of 7 euros fir the delay

My experience of me ordering a ride for mom was exceptional. The app provides its user with good approach for setting up the account, verifying the account, 2-step authentication, security measures, trusted partners. It clearly demonstrates details on the trip and the driver. I believe reviews given to drivers are around 90 % honest and reliable. I loved signing in with my account and navigating through the Uber web page that was synced with the Uber App.I could have had some issues from my local wifi network provider and mobile network provider used by the first driver. I could tell that the the first local driver was not exceptional so I found the other excpetional driver of an exceptional rating ! BUT AS A TRAVEL APP, I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT !I wish they can work in the future on allowing users to request rides on behalf of the passenger with the detials of the passenger to be input by the user.I hope also that they can improve customer support and work on other improvements also as I believe in the prosperity and success of the Uber App and web page.Thank you Uber.
