As expected, Canva’s annual Canva Create showcase revealed loads of innovative enhancements to the Canva design app. Get ready to dive into an enhanced Canva AI experience, a new Print Shop, a hook and caption library, plus countless other ways to simplify your creative workflow.

What we love: Tinkering with the new Magic Layers tool. This new AI function converts a flat image (AI–generated or from your files) into a multi-layered, fully editable design. Tap on each individual element to resize, rearrange and tweak as you please, keeping the background fully intact. Head to the Create tab and select Magic Layers to get started.

Don’t miss: Canva’s biggest AI update yet: Canva AI 2.0. This release introduces AI agent-like capabilities that will guide you through the design process, step by step. Start by asking the Canva AI to create something specific, say an on-brand presentation of this quarter’s sale figures, pulling in design elements from your Brand Kit. Continue to refine the design by chatting through each revision with the Canva AI (or taking the reins yourself!), making any design tweaks until the design is spot on and ready for sharing.
