Fans of the Puyo Puyo series know very well the dopamine rush of connecting and clearing cute, colourful Puyo falling from above. In the latest update of Puyo Puyo Puzzle Pop, available on Apple Arcade, you can now do one more thing—grow your own Puyo!

In the new Puyo Garden mode, you can grow closer to your Puyo by feeding it snacks and playing mini-games together, creating special moments with your very own Puyo.

When you visit Puyo Garden for the first time, choose one Puyo from five different colours and give it a name. As you feed it ice cream or have it exercise in a skipping rope mini-game, one of its five attributes such as Active or Elegant will begin to increase.

Part of raising a Puyo is letting go and trusting it to fight its own one-on-one puzzle matches called Puyo Battles. Connect four or more Puyo of the same colour, vertically or horizontally, to clear them off the board. And if enough Puyo pile up to reach the top of the screen, it’s game over.

Winning a Puyo Battle earns you Decor Points, and you can enter a new Puyo Battle once every six hours, up to four times a day. Keep logging in to start a new match whenever you can!

By using the Decor Points you earn in Puyo Garden or Puyo Battle, you can dress up your Puyo and give them a stylish makeover. Try finding items that match their personality, such as hats and unique accessories.

Once you’ve given your Puyo the perfect look, tap the camera icon to take a snapshot. Puyo are known for rolling around, so try capturing them from fun angles!
